EMOTIONAL FREEDOM TECHNIQUE

Emotional Freedom Technique, often known as 'tapping', draws on alternative therapies such as accupuncture (without the needles) and aspects of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).  The process involves using your fingertips to tap on accupressure points in combination with focused spoken words.  It can help relieve negative emotions and calm the nervous system.  

 

I can guide you through the tapping process and like many of the things we work on in our sessions, you or your child will also be able to use it yourself when needed.  Younger children can also learn the process by tapping on a teddy bear. :-)
